Foreigners who are working or earning money in Indonesia have to get a Working Permit Visa called KITAS. A “work visa,” also known as a “KITAS,” enables foreign nationals to engage in legal employment in Indonesia. In Indonesia, it is illegal to work or earn money without a work permit.

Kitas is a visa that is intended for foreigners working in Indonesia and is issued by the company that sponsored it so to get this visa you must be sponsored by a company registered in Indonesia, besides that you also need a Work Permit (IMTA) to be able to work and you must get an IMTA before coming to Indonesia.

The work visa is valid between 6 & 12 months depending on your position and position. In general, positions such as Director, Commissioner & Senior Manager can get a 12-month extendable permit.
