A Dependent KITAS is a temporary residence permit for foreign nationals who want to bring their family with them to Indonesia. It can be obtained if a partner or parent has a work permit or a foreign investment KITAS, and is applicable for husbands/wives and children of a primary KITAS holder. It does not allow the holder to work, but if they do decide to work at a later date, they can apply for an IMTA and earn an income. If they do find a full time job, they should apply for a Working KITAS and change their sponsor to their new employer.
