Indonesia Entry Requirements – What You Need to Know (Updated September 2025)

Planning a trip to Indonesia? Whether your journey takes you directly to Lombok or through Bali and Jakarta first, new travel requirements have been introduced that all visitors should know. Here’s the latest update to help make your arrival smooth and stress-free.

  1. All-Indonesia Arrival Card (New Unified Digital Form)

Starting 1 September 2025, all international arrivals at Bali (Ngurah Rai), Jakarta (Soekarno-Hatta), and Surabaya (Juanda) must complete the All-Indonesia Arrival Card.

This new free digital form replaces older requirements like the SATUSEHAT health app and the electronic customs declaration. It combines immigration, customs, and health details into a single online submission.

  • When to fill it: Ideally within 72 hours before arrival.
  • Processing time: Just 2–3 minutes online.
  • What you’ll get: A QR code sent by email, which you must show with your passport at immigration.
  • Expansion: From 1 October 2025, this requirement applies to all international airports in Indonesia.
  1. Visa Options

The Arrival Card does not replace a visa. Travelers must still hold a valid visa to enter Indonesia.

  • e-Visa on Arrival (e-VOA): Apply online via the official immigration website at least 48 hours before travel. Cost: about US$50.
  • Visa on Arrival (VOA): Available at designated airports upon arrival, also around US$50.

👉 Remember: Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry.

  1. Bali Tourist Levy

Since 2024, visitors to Bali are required to pay a tourism levy of IDR 150,000 (around US$14).

  • This fee supports environmental protection and cultural preservation.
  • Payment can be made online before you travel or on arrival in Bali.
  • ASEAN passport holders are exempt from this fee.
